On Friday night, the SEC showed it's the king of college basketball. Okay, maybe not really.

After Auburn dismantled North Carolina and Kentucky avoided an upset bid by Houston, the SEC sent two teams to the Elite Eight. The ACC (Duke and Virginia) and Big Ten (Michigan State and Purdue) also sent two teams.

Auburn and Kentucky will now face each other in the Elite Eight with the right to represent the Midwest Region in the Final Four.

Ahead of the match-up, Kentucky head coach John Calipari had a message for Auburn alum Charles Barkley.

Calipari wanted to let the former Tigers star know that he peed on his statue outside of Auburn Arena.

Auburn and Kentucky have faced each other twice this season. The Wildcats won the first contest 82-80 and then dominated the second by a final score of 80-53.

With PJ Wahington back on the floor for Kentucky, the Wildcats might be the most-dangerous team left in the tournament. However, after Auburn smoked the Tar Heels on Friday night, the Tigers' confidence is sky-high.

The Tigers and Wildcats should provide one of the best games of the tournament.

Kentucky and Auburn tip off on Sunday at 2:20 p.m. ET on CBS.
