David McCormack, a four-star center from Oak Hill Academy, doesn’t have a top schools list yet, but eight schools have been after him hardest.
McCormack spoke to D1Vision after a visit to Kansas, and spoke very highly of the Jayhawks after his trip to Lawrence.
In the article, he revealed the schools that are after him the hardest.
That group: Duke, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Kansas, NC State, Texas, UCLA, and Xavier. He also discussed the things he’s looking for in a school.
“Definitely the relationship with coaches, being able to play through mistakes, and develop my game,” said McCormack. “Conditioning and development is important, as well as my major. I want to major in communications or journalism because I want to go into sports broadcasting. History also plays into it, as far as being a good coach and how they develop their players.”
McCormack is the No. 42 in 247Sports‘ composite rankings for the class of 2018. He is the No. 3 center, and No. 2 recruit from Virginia.
The site’s crystal ball is pretty evenly split so far. Oklahoma State leads the way with 36-percent, followed by Duke and Georgetown at 27-percent each.
McCormack also holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, LSU, Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and others.
