Kentucky's players were overwhelmed after the game.
Losing is never easy -- especially with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
A few Kentucky players were visibly emotional after their crushing loss to North Carolina. The Wildcats had a five point lead with just over five minutes to play, but UNC went on a 12-0 run to take a 71-64 lead.
Freshmen Edrice "Bam" Adebayo and De'Aaron Fox were visibly upset after the loss, and understandably so.
The end of the game was the definition of March Madness, with Kentucky tying the game at 73 after Malik Monk drained a three-pointer with 10 seconds left to play. North Carolina took the ball and Luke Maye hit a mid-range jumper with less than a second left on the clock to give the Tar Heels a 75-73 win.
Kentucky doesn't lose often, but the Tar Heels were just too much for the Wildcats tonight. It's a crushing blow for a team that dominated No. 3 UCLA in the Sweet 16, and looked to be hitting its stride.
