The Jayhawks are getting Graham for another season.
Devonte Graham will be playing college basketball again next season.
The Kansas junior guard announced on Twitter this afternoon that he's returning to Lawrence, Ks. for one more season. Professional basketball can wait.
"I would just like to announce to all my family, friends, and fans that I'm coming back to school for my senior year," he wrote.
This isn't a stunning decision, but it is a big one.
Kansas is losing a national player of the year in senior guard Frank Mason, so getting Graham back guarantees stability in the Jayhawks' backcourt.
Graham, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound guard, averaged 3.4 points, 4.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds a game for the Jayhawks this past season. Kansas, a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and the Big 12 champion, fell to Oregon in the Elite Eight.
The Jayhawks are ranked inside the top 10 in most way-too-early preseason top 25s and bring in five-star power forward Billy Preston.
