The NCAA Tournament begins tonight, with the Round of 64 getting underway on Thursday. If you look at most expert predictions, they are downright chalky.
Many people are projecting big things for the eight highest seeds, and top-seeded Duke is the odds-on favorite to win it all. If history tells us anything though, at least a couple of lower-seeded teams will make noise.
After the bracket was debuted on Sunday night, ESPN’s Dick Vitale projected his four sleeper teams. He picked one from each region–Auburn is actually in the Midwest, not the West.
“My 4 Rip Van Winkles / sleepers baby r 5 seeds & lower that cause some damage // I n East # 7 seed LOUISVILLE / in West BUFFALO # 6 seed /In South # 7 CINCINNATI / in West # 5 AUBURN !” Vitale wrote.

If you’re a fan of these four teams, you might be tempted to feel pretty good right now. However, Dickie V threw some cold water on the Cinderellas last night when he tweeted that he expects “chalk city” in the Elite Eight.
Gut says many teams have ability to win a game or 2 but it is going to be CHALK CITY this yr when looking at the Elite 8 !
