Dick Vitale Reports Louisville Will Name AD, Men's Basketball Coach On Monday

Dick Vitale reports from the Alamodome ahead of the Final Four.

Dick Vitale is a legend in college basketball. The longtime analyst and commentator has been involved in some of the sport's biggest broadcasts.

However, he put the mic down on Saturday to do a little reporting. According to Dickie V, Louisville will name a new athletic director and head coach on Monday.

There is one name atop the wish list of Louisville's men's basketball program when it comes to its next head coach.

Chris Mack.

That's exactly who Dickie V thinks will get the job.

The Xavier head coach is target 1A for the Cardinals' program, which parted ways with interim head coach David Padgett earlier this week. It was reported earlier that Mack is meeting with Louisville this weekend.

In nine seasons as a head coach, Mack has made the NCAA Tournament eight times. He's advanced to the Sweet 16 three times, and took the Musketeers to the Elite Eight in 2017 as a No. 11 seed before losing to eventual runner-up Gonzaga.
