Fan Swings A Chair At Division II Basketball Game, Massive Brawl Ensues

A brawl erupts in a Division II basketball game.

Last weekend in Memphis, a Division II basketball game became a brawl after a random fan struck a player with a chair.

Things got way, way out of hand at a Division II basketball game in Memphis, Tennessee last weekend. After things became heated between longtime rivals LeMoyne-Owen and Lane College mid-game, an unidentified man walked out onto the court and swung a chair at a Lane player. The entire gym erupted into chaos immediately after.

Watch the madness below. The chair incident is shown clearly at around the 1:50 mark.

The game was immediately postponed.

As of now, no charges have been filed by authorities and no punishments have been handed down by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, but the investigation is ongoing.

"Such behavior will not be tolerated in our league under any circumstances," SIAC Commissioner Greg Moore said in a release per CBSSports. "As a consequence, and at the conclusion of our internal investigation, all responsible parties in connection with this incident shall be subject to the most severe sanctions authorized by the conference rules and bylaws."

Let's just hope the guy who got clocked by the folding chair is okay.
