The Sweet 16 is here and the chalk has come through. Fourteen of the top 16 seeds in the tournament remain, along with one No. 5 seed and a No. 12 seed.

While the downside of that is limited "madness" in terms of early results, the upside is we get some absolutely tremendous matchups from here on out. The games get underway on Thursday.

ESPN's BPI has updated its predictions for the Sweet 16. Included in the predictions is a metric for projected point differential.

Here's what the computer forecasts for the eight Sweet 16 contests:

  • Purdue is a 0.2-point favorite over Tennessee
  • Michigan is a 0.5-point favorite over Texas Tech
  • Gonzaga is a 12.7-point favorite over Florida State
  • Virginia is a 13.8-point favorite over Oregon
  • Kentucky is a 3.2-point favorite over Houston
  • North Carolina is a 4.7-point favorite over Auburn
