We'll see some serious changes in the college basketball top 25 polls tomorrow. ESPN's Dick Vitale has already altered the top of his rankings.
On Saturday, the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 teams in the AP poll all lost. Top-ranked Baylor fell to No. 3 Kansas, second-ranked Gonzaga lost at No. 23 BYU and No. 4 undefeated San Diego State was stunned by UNLV. Come Monday, KU will likely be the new No. 1 team in the country.
The Jayhawks are already No. 1 on Vitale's list. The longtime broadcaster released his new top four earlier today, with Kansas jumping up two spots.
Baylor only fell one place to No. 2 after its tough loss to KU, while Gonzaga dropped from third to fourth after losing. San Diego State, which had been Vitale's No. 4 team, is now out of the mix.
Replacing the Aztecs is Dayton, which is having the best season in program history thanks to national player of the year candidate Obi Toppin.
We're now entering the home stretch of the college basketball regular season. Selection Sunday is three weeks away, and there will be lots of shuffling in the rankings and bracket projections in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the new AP and Coaches polls will be released tomorrow.
