Few people, if any, expected tonight's Baylor-Syracuse game to be one of the highest-scoring games of the NCAA Tournament's first round, but that's what we have after 20 minutes of play.

The No. 8 and No. 9 seeds in the West Region are in an offensive battle heading into the second half.

Baylor, the No. 9 seed, leads No. 8-seeded Syracuse, 38-37, after the opening half in tonight's first round NCAA Tournament game.

Who will emerge in the second half?

ESPN's Basketball Power Index has updated its prediction.

ESPN's BPI is giving No. 9 Baylor a 51.3 percent chance of knocking off No. 8 Syracuse in the second half.

The winner of tonight's game moves on to the second round, where No. 1-seeded Gonzaga awaits. That game will take place on Saturday, with a tipoff time and TV channel TBD.

The second half of Baylor-Syracuse will start in a couple of minutes.

The game is on truTV.
