ESPN Releases New NCAA Tournament Projection – Feb. 28
Tomorrow will be March 1. March Madness is around the corner.
The NCAA Tournament will begin two weeks from tomorrow, not counting the play-in games before the field gets trimmed to 64. Conference tournament play has already begun.
In this last week and change until Selection Sunday, teams punch tickets to the Dance, while others see their bubbles burst. Seeding can change in the blink of an eye as well.
ESPN’s resident bracketologist, Joe Lunardi updated his NCAA Tournament projection this morning. This is his busiest time of the year.
Here are Lunardi's projections for the top seeds:
No. 1 seeds: Virginia, Villanova, Xavier, Kansas
No. 2 seeds: Michigan State, UNC, Duke, Purdue
No. 3 seeds: Tennessee, Cincinnati, Wichita State, Auburn
No. 4 seeds: Texas Tech, Ohio State, Arizona, WVU
No. 5 seeds: Michigan, Kentucky, Gonzaga, Clemson
No. 6 seeds: Rhode Island, Florida, TCU, Nevada
No. 7 seeds: Arkansas, Miami (Fla.), Creighton, Houston
No. 8 seeds: Seton Hall, Texas A&M, Butler, Virginia Tech
