Everyone's Making Fun Of ESPN Today - Here's Why

Trae Young takes a shot against Texas.

The Sooners and Longhorns are battling on ESPN this afternoon in a Big 12 showdown. Oklahoma's Trae Young and Texas' Mo Bamba are the headliners, and two of the best players in the country despite being freshmen.

Young is the early favorite to win player of the year in college basketball. Young leads the country in scoring with 29.1 points per game and assists, with 9.3 per game.

He's become such a topic of conversation that he might be getting covered too much by media outlets. Put ESPN in that conversation.

Nearly two weeks ago, ESPN featured a matchup between West Virginia and Oklahoma and found itself being laughed at by some on Twitter. Why? Because the Worldwide Leader showed Trae Young's stat line on screen during the entire game, even when he was on the bench.

On Saturday afternoon, Twitter had some fun at ESPN's expense once again for how it was covering the polarizing college basketball star. Check it out.

Not everyone loves Trae Young as much as ESPN does. Baker Mayfield was also in the house this afternoon, much to the chagrin of Texas fans watching the game.

Mayfield got plenty of screen time and even brought his Heisman Trophy along to show off for the home crowd. Texas lead 32-29 at the half.
