Florida Gulf Coast Transfer Zach Johnson Announces Commitment

Zach Johnson runs back on defense after scoring

Florida Gulf Coast transfer Zach Johnson is one of the top graduate transfers in the market this year. He averaged 16.1 points per game for "Dunk City" this season and a number of big schools were involved in his new recruitment.

We say "were" because he's decided where he's transferring to. The star guard is headed to the ACC to play in his hometown of Miami.

He announced his decision on Twitter.

Johnson was second on his team in scoring, and in minutes per game during the 2017-18 season. He also averaged just over three rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game.

The plug-and-play guard shot 46.9-percent from the field, and 39.2-percent from three point range. Over 40-percent of his field goal attempts were from deep.

Johnson also considered Arizona, Creighton, and Louisville, before eventually signing with the Hurricanes. It's the third graduate transfer Jim Larranaga has managed to snag, after Anthony Mack and Kam McGusty also signed with the Canes.
