Here's How Many Perfect Brackets Remain In ESPN's Challenge After Virginia's Loss

Earlier this afternoon, Marshall's upset of Wichita State greatly reduced the number of perfect brackets left in the country.

With the Friday slate of games nearly at a close, some major damage was done to the "perfect bracket" crowd out there. The 13-seed Marshall Thundering Herd, out of Conference USA, took down 4-seed Wichita State in one of the tournament's biggest upsets.

As a result, there aren't too many perfect brackets left in the world. ESPN's Tournament Challenge, by far the biggest in the country, only has 377 perfect brackets left.

Then came No. 16 UMBC. The Retrievers knocked off No. 1 overall seed Virginia, and crushed any hope of a perfect bracket remaining for the duration of the tournament.

According to ESPN, 96.7% of people had Virginia winning today. Ouch.

Those hoping for perfection must wait until next year. Now it's time to sit back, relax, and pray for more chaos to take place in the NCAA Tournament.

Who will be the next highly-seeded team to go down?
