The freshman standout isn’t playing tonight.
Porter Jr.’s debut at Mizzou was limited to two minutes because of a nagging hip injury, and he is sitting out tonight’s game against Wagner with the same ailment.
Porter Jr. not playing isn’t that unusual, but the fact he hasn’t been on the team’s bench has draw some raised eyebrows. Just search his name on Twitter and you’ll see plenty of people talking about it.
However, it seems that Mizzou has an easy explanation for that. Porter Jr. is in the locker room resting his leg, according to the team.
Missouri frosh Michael Porter Jr., sitting out tonight due to leg injury. Back in locker room watching game, easier with his injury, per team spokesman.

The Tigers are beating Wagner 54-21 without Porter, so it looks like he can take his time healing, at least for now.
