How Many Perfect Brackets Remain After LSU-Maryland Game

The Spun NCAA Tournament bracket.

On Saturday afternoon, No. 6 Maryland and No. 3 LSU faced off in the first game of the Round of 32. After jumping out to an early lead, the Tigers faltered in the second half, allowing the Terrapins to get back in the game.

LSU eventually held off Maryland thanks to a slick drive by point guard Tremont Waters - who hit a layup as time expired. With the win, the Tigers became the first team to punch their ticket to the Sweet 16.

After LSU claimed victory, ESPN revealed how many perfect brackets remain in its bracket challenge.

Hint: it's not many.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, only three perfect brackets remain.

While only three perfect brackets remain on ESPN's platform, there are five others across the country.

A reddit user put together a spreadsheet that tracks the perfect brackets remaining. 16 perfect brackets entered the day, but after Maryland lost to LSU, only eight are left.

Here's the breakdown by platform:

All eight of the remaining brackets have Gonzaga, Michigan and Michigan State advancing to the Sweet 16. If the Bulldogs, Wolverines or Spartans fall, the run of perfect brackets comes to an end.

Stay tuned.
