There was no more impressive individual performance today than the one from Murray State point guard Ja Morant. Morant owned the stage from start to finish in this afternoon's win over Marquette.
Morant was efficient and deadly, scoring 17 points on only nine shots while dishing out 16 assists and grabbing 11 rebounds. He recorded the first triple-double in an NCAA Tournament game in seven years.
Only eight players in NCAA history have notched a triple-double with 10 assists in the tournament. It is impressive company that Morant is in.
After the game, Morant had a message for fans on Twitter.
"Relax! I'm not done yet," he wrote.
Right now, Morant is locking up a spot as a lottery pick in this year's NFL Draft. He might be making a late push for the No. 1 overall pick, though it seems like Zion Williamson has that title secured.
Morant will get his next opportunity against fourth-seeded Florida State on Saturday. The Seminoles held off 13th-seeded Vermont this afternoon.
As long as he is still playing in the Big Dance, you won't want to miss it.
