Jaylen Hoard, a five-star small forward in the class of 2018, is the top player in North Carolina. He announces his commitment today.
Hoard stars at Wesleyan Christian in High Point, NC, but is originally from France. He came to the United State last year. Now, he is one of the top prospects in the country.
247Sports ranks him No. 22 in the class of 2018. He is slotted in at No. 7 among small forwards.
On Friday, Scout’s Evan Daniels reported that Hoard will announce his commitment today.

Hoard is expected to stay in-state, but it likely won’t be at Duke or North Carolina.
All 10 of the predictions registered at 247’s crystal ball have Hoard committing to Wake Forest.
He also holds offers from Cal, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Providence, Washington, and others.
If Wake does reel in the blue-chip forward, he will be the second commit in Danny Manning’s class. The Demon Deacons already have a commitment from three-star point guard Sharone Wright Jr. He would be Wake’s first five-star commit since Al-Farouq Aminu in 2008.
