Joe Lunardi Updates His 2018 NCAA Tournament Bracketology
We are almost two full months clear of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, and a long ways away from the 2017-18 college basketball season, but we have a new edition of Joe Lunardi's Bracketology.
The day after North Carolina cut down the nets, Joey Brackets put up his first 2018 Bracketology, which featured Arizona, Florida, Kansas, and Louisville as No. 1 seeds.
We've had some big recruits make decisions in the last few weeks, which is about all that has changed for these teams, and now, we have two new, very familiar No. 1 seeds. Duke takes over for Florida as the No. 1 seed in the East, with the Gators sliding to No. 2 in the Midwest behind Kansas. Kentucky displaces rival Louisville as the No. 1 in the South, with the Cards falling to the No. 2 but staying in the region, setting up a potential rivalry clash in the Elite Eight.
Here are the top four seeds in each region, from Lunardi's latest Bracketology:
East Region:
- Duke
- Villanova
- West Virginia
- Minnesota
Midwest Region:
- Kansas
- Florida
- North Carolina
- Cincinnati
South Region:
- Kentucky
- Louisville
- Wichita State
- UCLA
West Region:
- Arizona
- Michigan State
- Notre Dame
- Saint Mary's
Head here for Lunardi's full field, which also features his first and next four out. Obviously, this means nothing with months before the first games, but it's always fun to speculate where teams may end up and what match-ups we could see next March.
