Over the next 48 hours, ESPN college basketball analyst Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology will undergo significant change. Heading into the final rounds of conference tournaments, teams are securing their bids for the NCAA Tournament.
With Selection Sunday sitting just hours away, Lunardi updated his Bracketology and instituted a new 1-seed. The Duke Blue Devils exacted their revenge on the North Carolina Tar Heels Friday night with a 74-73 win.
Following the win, Lunardi bumped the Blue Devils up to a 1-seed. North Carolina dropped out of a 1-seed after the loss and now sits as a 2-seed in the Midwest Region.
Here is what the top four seed lines look like, from ESPN:
East Region (Washington, D.C.):
- Kansas State
Midwest Region (Kansas City):
- North Carolina
South Region (Louisville):
- Michigan State
- Texas Tech
West Region (Anaheim):
- Florida State
Florida State has a chance to improve its seeding heading into the NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles have an important date with Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils in the ACC Championship Game Saturday night.
There will be plenty of change to the Bracketology over the next two days as conference tournaments wrap up.
