John Calipari Tweets Message Following Season-Ending Loss To Kansas State

Kentucky suffered a surprising defeat to Kansas State in the Sweet 16 last night. The Wildcats were the favorites to reach the Final Four in the South Region after the top four seeds were eliminated.

The loss ended an up and down season for Kentucky. The Wildcats struggled for a stretch in February before peaking and winning the SEC Tournament. The bracket then broke their way through two rounds, but they stumbled last night.

Kentucky head coach John Calipari addressed the fan base and summed up the loss and season in a multi-tweet statement this morning.

"I woke up this morning feeling as sick as I did last night after that game," read Calipari's first tweet. "This is going to hurt for a while for all of us. The players took it as hard as any team I’ve had when it ends."

Calipari always does a nice job of supporting his players, win or lose.

Kentucky has a top-6 recruiting class coming in, plus they should return a number of players from this year's team. Expectations will be high in Lexington once again next season.
