Kansas State Dismisses Sophomore Forward Isaiah Maurice

Isaiah Maurice is no longer on the Kansas State team.

Kansas State announced on Thursday afternoon that Isaiah Maurice is no longer on the Wildcats basketball team.

As a redshirt freshman, Maurice averaged 5.9 points on 64.3 percent shooting on just 11.9 minutes played per game in the team's final seven games.

Maurice's playing time increased as the season went on.

Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber released a statement about the departure.

Here's the full quote:

"There are standards of conduct required to be a member of our program, and there are consequences when those standards aren't met. Isaiah did not meet his responsibilities, and unfortunately this is the result."

Here's the full release from the Wildcats program.

Maurice was suspended last season, although Bruce Weber claimed he did not "lose faith" in his redshirt freshman. That faith looks to have been lost after another incident.
