Keldon Johnson, a five-star shooting guard out of Oak Hill Academy, will be making his college decision next week.
Last month, Johnson announced a top five of Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, NC State, and Texas.
According to 247Sports, FSU is out. The ‘Noles were the only one of those five finalists to not have Johnson on an official visit in September.
247’s Inside MD Sports spoke to Johnson’s father, who confirmed the upcoming commitment, although he does not have a specific date set yet.

The younger Johnson had considered putting off his commitment until the spring this week, but didn’t want to drag it out.
“I think he’s just wore out and he’s ready to go on and get it out of the way,” Chris Johnson said.
Johnson is the No. 14 composite overall player in the country, the nation’s No. 2 shooting guard, and the top recruit in Virginia per 247Sports.
62-percent of voters in the site’s crystal ball believe he will commit to Kentucky, with Texas (23-percent) and Maryland (15-percent) coming up behind the Wildcats.
He also holds offers from Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Penn State, UCLA, and Virginia Tech, among others.
