Stop us if you have heard this one before: Kentucky has just landed a five-star basketball recruit.

Roselle (N.J.) Catholic five-star small forward Kahlil Whitney announced his commitment to Kentucky moments ago. Whitney hails from the same high school program that produced former UK guard Isaiah Briscoe.

Whitney visited Kentucky last weekend. He chose the Wildcats over Georgetown, Illinois and Oregon.

He revealed his decision in a commitment video:

Whitney is the No. 5 small forward and 19th-ranked overall player in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He joins Tyrese Maxey as five-star prospects committed to the Wildcats. Four-star small forward Dontaie Allen is also in the fold. Here's a look at Kentucky's 2019 class, which is ranked first in the SEC and second in the nation.
