The second game of today's CBS Sports classic features two of the premiere college basketball teams in the country. The Kentucky Wildcats and North Carolina Tar Heels just went to halftime in Chicago.

Kentucky leads 40-31 at the break. It has been an impressive performance for John Calipari's club, which hasn't always looked sharp through the early season.

Veteran forward Reid Travis has been the best player on the court, with a game-high 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

PJ Washington has also been a do-it-all contributor for the Wildcats, with six points, four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

With 20 minutes of action to go, ESPN's Basketball Power Index has Kentucky basketball as a strong favorite to finish this one off.

BPI has UK at a 72.7-percent favorite to win the game.

No. 15 Ohio State won the early game in this Chicago-based double-header. The Buckeyes knocked off UCLA 80-66.

Both No. 19 Kentucky and No. 9 UNC are 8-2 on the year. This would be a mild upset, with North Carolina entering the game as 2.5-point favorites at most sportsbooks.

The game is being broadcast on CBS.
