Kevin Knox, a five-star forward and one of the country's biggest uncommitted basketball recruits, will likely make his college decision this weekend.
Earlier this week, Knox's father gave SNY's Adam Zagoria a rough Thursday-Sunday timetable for a 'likely' announcement. Now, it looks like things are being geared down towards this weekend as the time.
More, from Zagoria:
After initially saying it would happen between Thursday-Sunday, likely depending on a window on the ESPN networks, Kevin Knox Sr., said Thursday, “Expect this weekend to be the time.”
It remains unclear how Knox will announce. His father said they were working with ESPN on a possible window.
Five schools are involved with Knox down the stretch: Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Missouri, and North Carolina. 247Sports' crystal ball has Duke as a heavy favorite to land the talented 6-foot-8 wing, with 83-percent of the 23 voters choosing Knox to go with the Blue Devils when he makes his decision. If he does, he'll be joining fellow five-stars Wendell Carter and Gary Trent Jr., four-star guard Alex O'Connell, and three-star guard Jordan Goldwire.
The Blue Devils currently have the No. 4 class in the nation. Kentucky is No. 1, UNC is No. 15, Missouri is No. 23, and Florida State is ranked No. 25
