Virginia took down Texas Tech in overtime on Monday night to notch its first national championship in program history. Kyle Guy, who saved the day for the Cavaliers against Auburn on Saturday night, was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.
Guy, in the title game, scored 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Against Auburn, he scored 15 points - three of which came on last-second free throws to secure the win.
After the game, during the team's celebration, Guy met up with his fiancee Alexa Jenkins. The two shared a number of awesome moments.
One particular shot of the duo caught Guy's eye. He tweeted it out early Tuesday morning.
This isn't the first time the two have been in the news this month. Last week, there was a big to-do regarding whether or not they could have a wedding registry, per NCAA rules.
Guy, who was a junior this past season, averaged 15.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He was one of the best shooters from deep in the country.
Congrats to Guy and the rest of UVA's squad. They'll remember this for the rest of their lives.
