LaVar Ball fired back.
Earlier today, former UCLA star Lonzo Ball unveiled his signature sneaker under the Big Baller Brand. Called the "ZO2", the signature shoe captured the Twitter audience thanks to its hefty price tag of $495.
Hours after the shoes got roasted on Twitter, LaVar Ball, father of Lonzo, fired his own shot at those who complained about the price tag.
Many knock LaVar Ball for being arrogant, and detracting from his son's career. However, one thing you can't say about him is that he's not great at getting the Ball name out there.
Twitter timelines exploded this afternoon after the ZO2 was unveiled and now, the internet will toss this tweet all over the place, us included.
We don't know how many pairs of shoes the Big Baller Brand will sell, but if it's anywhere near the amount of people talking about the shoes this afternoon, Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour will be sad they didn't get a piece of the action.
With that being said, the Big Baller Brand has a long way to go, and the prices will surely need to decrease, because we don't know anyone who's willing to pony up $200 for a pair of flip flops.
