Look: Colin Cowherd's Tweet About Iowa Is Going Viral

The NCAA men's college basketball tournament saw its first notable upset when No. 12 Richmond eliminated No. 5 Iowa on Thursday.

Four days removed from winning the Big Ten tournament, the Hawkeyes shot 6-of-29 from behind the arc in a 67-63 loss to the Spiders. Nobody outside of AP All-American Keegan Murray and sophomore Patrick McCaffery scored more than six points for Iowa.

Following the day's first first bracket-buster, Colin Cowherd took a shot at the frequent target.

Cowherd has repeatedly called Iowa the fake ID of college football. He even had T-shirts made five years ago.

Odd, convoluted metaphor aside, Iowa's men's basketball program hasn't made the Sweet 16 since 1999. Last year, led by two future NBA draft picks in Luke Garza and Joe Wieskamp, the No. 2 seed got knocked out by No. 7 Oregon in the second round.

It's another disappointingly early exit for the Hawkeyes, who could lose Murray to the pros this summer.
