On Thursday night, the NBA draft kicked off from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as college basketball's best players realized their dreams of making it into the NBA.

The first few picks of the draft didn't bring any drama to the big stage. Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and R.J. Barrett all went in the first three picks - just as reported.

While there wasn't much by the way of surprise in the early portion of the draft, there were plenty of tears.

As Williamson and Barrett made their way to an interview with ESPN's Maria Taylor, they both broke into tears.

Taylor has had that effect on several players - getting the most from their emotional perspective after the best moment of their lives.

Those watching at home have been praising Taylor for her work during tonight's draft.

It's not easy interviewing players right after they've been drafted - as their minds are on other things - but Taylor has done a tremendous job tonight.
