Maryland Eastern Shore Has Parted Ways With Coach Bobby Collins
The coaching carousel continues to spin in college basketball. Another job has opened up.
Maryland Eastern Shore has not renewed the contract of Bobby Collins, according to multiple reports. Collins coached at UMES the last four seasons.
His overall record was 49-81 including a 7-25 campaign this season.
Prior to UMES, Collins coached at Howard (2002-06) and Winston-Salem State (2006-14). He took Howard to the NCAA Tournament in 2006.
Collins also brought Winston-Salem State to the Division II NCAA Tournament in 2012 and 2013.
Detroit, UT Arlington and Maryland Eastern Shore all dismissed their head coaches on Monday. That is par for the course around this time of the year.
Tomorrow, more coaches will find themselves looking for jobs, and we may see some vacancies filled.
