Miami landed a top transfer Thursday night.
Mount St. Mary's transfer Miles Wilson announced his commitment to Miami. The Hurricanes landed their top transfer recruit after the 6-foot-5 guard out of Maryland, took an official visit to Miami last weekend.
Here's the post from Wilson.
Wilson spoke to Scout earlier in the day about his decision.
"The relationship that I've built with Coach [Larrañaga] and the school as far as academics, it's just a perfect match. I've liked them from the jump. They've been showing me love and kept making me a priority. I'm excited about the opportunity they were presenting and giving me. I felt like I couldn't turn it down."
Wilson also took an official visit to Auburn and held offers from several big-name programs, such as Virginia, Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, West Virginia and Penn State. He'll have to sit out during the 2017-18 season, but will have three more years of eligibility after that.
As a freshman, Wilson averaged 11.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting just above 36-percent from the three-point line.
