NCAA Tournament Selection Committee Unveils Top 16 Teams

Here are the top 16 teams in college basketball right now.

Selection Sunday is a month away. Today, we got a sneak peek at what the tournament would look like if it started today.

The NCAA Tournament selection committee revealed to the country its top 16 teams at this moment. They mock seeded them in the four different NCAA Tournament regions.

The four No. 1 seeds right now: Virginia, Villanova, Xavier and Purdue.

The Cavaliers are the No. 1 overall seed, according to the committee. This comes less than 24 hours after UVA was upset at home by rival Virginia Tech.

Auburn, one of the most-surprising teams in the country, is the first No. 1 seed out right now. The Tigers are the No. 5 overall team.

Another highly-surprising team, Ohio State, made it into the top 16. The Buckeyes are a No. 4 seed.

The NCAA Tournament's official field will be unveiled in a month. Selection Sunday is set for Sunday, March 11.
