The No. 2 seed North Carolina Tar Heels (26-10) take on the No. 7 seed Texas A&M Aggies (22-12) in the Second Round of the West Region. The game will be played at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Sunday, March 18. Tip-off time is TBA.

Preview: Give the Lipscomb Bisons some credit. They pushed North Carolina more than most expected.

Lipscomb led the game inside of four minutes in the second half, before UNC started pulling away. The Tar Heels coasted in the second half, winning 84-66.

Every North Carolina starter finished with double-digit points. Kenny Williams led the way with 18 points on the afternoon.

North Carolina was a bit sloppy with the ball. The Bisons turned the Tar Heels 18 times.

Texas A&M knocked off No. 10 seed Providence in the first round on Friday afternoon. The Friars entered the game coming off of a run to the Big East Championship Game, but met their match in the Aggies.

A&M got a balanced scoring effort in the 73-69 win. Guard Admon Gilder led the way with 18 points, and was one of eight players in double-digits, joined by TJ Starks (15), Tyler Davis (14), and Robert Williams (13).

Davis and Williams each recorded double-doubles for the Aggies, grabbing 15 and 14 rebounds respectively. Starks led the Aggies with eight assists.

The winner of Sunday's game will face the winner of Saturday's match-up between No. 3 Michigan and No. 6 Houston in the Sweet 16. The West Regional will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Prediction: Texas A&M got off to a red-hot start this season, but like a number of teams this year, fell apart a bit as the year wore on. The Aggies manged to make the NCAA Tournament as a seven seed though, and the SEC as a whole is having a great first round.

The may have met their match in the Tar Heels, however. The first 16 minutes of today's game aside, the defending national champs are rounding into form at the perfect time, reaching the ACC title game. They should advance to the Sweet 16 as well. North Carolina wins.
