The 2017 NCAA Tournament field has been announced. Let’s take a look at how the committee ranked all 68 teams in this year’s bracket.
The 2017 NCAA Tournament bracket is set. This year, the Villanova Wildcats – last year’s national champion – will be the overall No. 1 seed. CBS announced every matchup just minutes ago – and of course, there are a number of matchups that fans can’t wait to see.
Here’s the official 1-68 rankings. The top four teams are Villanova, Kansas, North Carolina and Gonzaga.
Kentucky, Arizona, Duke and Louisville make up the 2-seeds. Oregon, Florida State, UCLA and Baylor got 3-seeds. The 4-seeds went to Butler, Florida, West Virginia and Purdue.

The “last four” teams in were Providence, Wake Forest, USC and Kansas State. The Wildcats were the last team in the field. California, Illinois State, Iowa and Syracuse – in no order – were the first four teams out.
This year’s “First Four” matchups – per usual, will take place in Dayton, Ohio on March 14 and 15. The first round will take place on March 16 and March 17. The sites for this year’s first and second round matchups are Buffalo, Milwaukee, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Greenville, Indianapolis, Tulsa and Sacramento.
