Michigan State's men's basketball program had a heartbreaking moment in the first half of their Big Ten Tournament title game against Michigan this afternoon.

Spartans junior forward Kyle Ahrens suffered a brutal leg injury late in the first half. He was down on the floor for several minutes before getting carted off on a stretcher.

Thankfully, the early injury update is promising. Michigan State announced that the initial X-rays were negative.

Michigan State's coaches and players were visibly devastated by the scene.
