The NCAA Tournament is underway. It hasn't taken us very long for us to write a few "upset alert" posts.
Rhode Island was on upset alert against Oklahoma before righting the ship. Kansas was in trouble early against Penn, and Duke is locked in a tight battle with No. 15 seed Iona.
However, one almost-upset nearly busted brackets everywhere. No. 13 UNC-Greensboro almost knocked off No. 4 Gonzaga. The Spartans and Bulldogs were tied at 64 with just over 20 seconds left in the game.
Gonzaga's Zach Norvell Jr. had enough of the upset talk and drilled a three-pointer and the Bulldogs escaped with a 68-64 win. The parents of Gonzaga head coach Mark Few were in attendance, and his mother went viral after the win.
Entering the 2018 NCAA Tournament there have been twenty-six 13 seeds to defeat 4 seeds in the first round. UNC-Greenboro nearly pushed that total to 27.
After staving off the upset, Gonzaga now awaits the winner of Ohio State and South Dakota State.
