Photos: CBB Arena's Jumbotron Just Collapsed Onto Court

Two basketballs ahead of the Final Four.

Scary images are emerging from George Washington's Charles E. Smith Center this afternoon. The arena's Jumbotron has collapsed onto the court.

There's not that much information out right now, but the photos of the gargantuan structure on the court are pretty startling.

It is a miracle no one seems to be hurt. If this had happened during a game or practice, yikes.

Ever since I was a kid, this exact scenario was always a fear/curiosity of mine. What would happen if the Jumbotron collapsed on the court? Was it even possible?

The answer, as we see today, is yes. Again, thankfully the gym looks pretty empty.

GW is set to start preseason practice next month. Their gym is going to need some serious renovation before that happens though.

We'll update you as more details come out about this.
