On Wednesday, the news broke that Purdue transfer Matt Haarms was deciding between three schools. Although he hasn’t made a final decision yet, there appears to be a new favorite for his services.
This past season, Haarms averaged 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He still has room to improve his game, which makes him one of the most intriguing transfers on the market.
Haarms’ final list of suitors consists of Kentucky, Texas Tech and BYU. All three destinations have their pros and cons for the former Boilermaker.
According to Evan Daniels of 247Sports, Haarms’ decision seems to be trending toward BYU. The current belief is that Haarms will announce his decision on Thursday.

Haarms is immediately eligible to play for whichever school he chooses.
BYU would be thrilled to land a player of Haarms’ caliber. He should have a career-year in the West Coast Conference – assuming that he does choose the Cougars.
Kentucky and Texas Tech would be nice landing spots for Haarms, but BYU does have all the pieces necessary to be a NCAA Tournament team in 2021.
We’ll find out where the biggest name on the transfer market will land very soon.
