The No. 1 overall recruit is targeting an August announcement.
The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2019 class doesn't plan on being part of the '19 class for much longer.
R.J. Barrett, a five-star small forward from Canada, is reportedly planning on making a reclassifying announcement in August.
The 6-foot-6 forward is expected to do what other Canadian high school basketball phenoms have done and move up a class after going to school in the U.S. Andrew Wiggins, for example, did what Barrett is predicted to do.
There appear to be five schools seriously in play for Barrett at the moment - Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan and Oregon. Barrett has mentioned other schools, though, and doesn't seem to be close to any kind of decision.
Barrett dominated the United States' u-19 team in a recent international competition, handing the Americans a very rare loss. He's being projected by some to be a future No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.
