Report: Two Basketball Players To Transfer From Nebraska Program

Two players are reportedly transferring from the Nebraska basketball team.

Junior forward Nick Fuller announced his transfer from the Nebraska program on Sunday night. Fuller released a statement to Brian Rosenthal of Huskers.com, announcing his transfer.

“I just want to thank the University of Nebraska, the fans and all my coaches and teammates for everything they’ve done for me,” Fuller said. “I’ve really enjoyed my time here.”

Head coach Time Miles had the following to say about Fuller:

“Nick is the kind of guy who will run through a brick wall for you,” Miles said. “He was a loyal team guy to the program, to his teammates, to his coaches. I know I didn’t always give him the role that he hoped for, but at the same time, his dream and my dream were the same – we both wanted to be in the Big Ten, growing up as little kids. He was going to make the most of it, and I think he did.”

Now, a second player is reportedly set to transfer as well.

According to Huskers Online, freshman Jeriah Horne asked for a release from his scholarship and plans to move on from the program. Coming out of high school, 247Sports rated Horne as the No. 43 power forward in the 2016 recruiting class and the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri.
