The former Louisville coach has reportedly responded to the comments of the Pittsburgh coach.

Rick Pitino has reportedly responded to the comment made by Pittsburgh head coach Kevin Stallings.

The former Louisville men's basketball coach didn't hold back, either.

Pitino has called Stallings "a jackass" after the Panthers' head coach remarked to heckling Louisville fans, "at least we didn’t pay our guys $100,000."

Stallings' comment was an obvious reference made to the findings of the FBI's investigation into the college basketball world, claiming that adidas paid a five-star recruit $100K to commit to Louisville. The saga led to Pitino's ousting by the university.

Pittsburgh's head coach said after the game that he made his comment after Louisville fans made comments about his players.

“I probably said the wrong thing, but I'm not going to let people talk crap about my players. We're down, the game is over with, you don't need to insult kids who are out there trying to fight hard and do their best,” he said.

Louisville radio host John Ramsey says Pitino texted him about Stallings' comments, saying he's a "jackass."

OK then.
