Canadian phenom R.J. Barrett, the nation's No. 1 recruit, is officially down to three finalists.
Barrett broke onto the scene in a big way, leading Team Canada to a big upset of a John Calipari-coached Team USA squad over the summer.
He has reclassified up to the class of 2018, where he took over as the No. 1 recruit, and now, he has three schools left in the running. Barrett confirmed a reported top three from earlier in the week.
Two are the preeminent recruiting powers in the country: Duke and Kentucky. The other? Oregon, which has built a nice pipeline of Canadian talent.
247Sports' crystal ball has Duke as the favorite, with 55-percent of the logged votes. Kentucky is in second at 36-percent, with the remaining votes listed as "foggy."
He also holds offers from Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Mizzou, UCLA, and others.
