The Volunteers have landed a commitment from one of the best-scoring guards in the country.
James Daniel, an elite-scoring guard transferring from Howard, has made his decision.
The 6-foot, 170-pound guard has committed to Tennessee, according to ESPN college basketball insider Jeff Goodman.
Daniel, who led the country in scoring as a junior at 27.1 points a game, picked the Volunteers over DePaul and Ohio State.
This is a major get for the Volunteers' program.
Daniel has one season of eligibility remaining and can play right away in 2017-18. He should be one of the best scorers in the SEC.
