The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies will take on the No. 10 seed Providence Friars The two teams are part of the West region, playing in the same bracket as No. 1 seed Xavier.
Preview: Texas A&M finished with an overall record of 20-12 this season – with a 9-9 mark in the SEC. Providence, meanwhile, finished with a 21-13 record and a 10-8 mark in the Big East. The Friars almost knocked off Villanova in the Big East Tournament title game, while the Aggies fell to Alabama in the second round of the SEC Tournament.
Tyler Davis is Texas A&M’s most important player. Against Alabama, he was in foul trouble, and the team struggled because of it. Providence’s leading scorers are Rodney Bullock, Alpha Diallo and Kyron Cartwright.
