The refs missed a travel by Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes.
Florida topped Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 tonight on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime.
That play probably should've have happened, though.
What led to the running, game-winning 3 was this:
Badgers' forward Nigel Hayes drew a foul off a spin move with about four seconds left, sending himself to the line with the game tied. He made both free throws, giving Wisconsin a two-point lead that was later lost on the game-winning 3.
None of that should've happened, though.
The refs missed a pretty blatant travel by Hayes on that spin move. He took about four steps. Traveling should've been called and Florida should've gotten the ball back with the game tied. Who knows what would've happened after that.
Florida will face South Carolina in the Elite Eight on Sunday afternoon.
