The NBA world is impatiently waiting the release of the draft lottery scheduled for later Tuesday night.
Three teams have the best odds to land the No. 1 overall pick (presumably Zion Williamson): New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks are the only other teams with a 10-percent or greater chance at taking home the top pick.
Before tonight’s reveal, potential trade packages are making the rounds.
NBA insider Sham Charania of Stadium and the Athletic reported the Knicks – if they land the top pick – could trade star rookie Kevin Knox and Zion Williamson to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis.
Uh oh @ShamsCharania reporting the Knicks would look to trade Zion as the centerpiece of an Anthony Davis package if they land the No. 1 pick.
🤦🏼♂️ they should only try to deal this pick if it falls 2-5. They have a good offer for AD without giving up Zion pic.twitter.com/wkqBdM8tkp

Of course, this all depends on whether or not the Knicks land the No. 1 overall pick. If the Knicks slip in the draft lottery, the team could still make a compelling offer for Davis, but they would have company in attempting to land the six-time All-Star.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics have also been mentioned as possible trade partners for the Pelicans in an Anthony Davis trade.
Davis made it clear he doesn’t want to play in New Orleans, and that could be enough to force a trade before the 2019-20 season.
