There Are 2 Elite Eight Games Tonight - Here's the Schedule

The Sweet 16 wrapped up late Friday night with close victories by a pair of blue bloods. Duke and Kentucky survived significant upset bids by Virginia Tech and Houston respectively to move on to the Elite Eight.

While Auburn, Duke, Kentucky and Michigan State were winning their spots in the next round of the NCAA Tournament, the other half of the Elite Eight was sitting home watching.

Now, those for programs will battle it out to see who represents their region in the Final Four.

Gonzaga and Texas Tech face off tonight in the West Region while Virginia and Purdue hope to represent the South Region.

Here's the full schedule for Saturday night's games:

  • No. 1 Gonzaga vs. No. 3 Texas Tech at 6:09 p.m. ET on TBS
  • No. 1 Virginia vs. No. 3 Purdue at 8:49 p.m. ET on TBS

Despite dismantling Michigan in the Sweet 16, Texas Tech enters as the underdog against the Bulldogs. Gonzaga is a 4.5-point favorite heading into the Elite Eight contest.

In the other No. 1 vs. No. 3 matchup on the day, Virginia heads into the Elite Eight as a 4.5-point favorite over Purdue despite the Boilermakers looking like one of the best teams in the tournament.
