There’s Reportedly A “Decent Chance” Grayson Allen Returns For His Senior Year

The Duke Blue Devils could have Grayson Allen back in uniform next year.

Duke's 2017-2018 roster has more question marks than it does answers. Coach K and Blue Devils fans watched as Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles and, today, Luke Kennard, all decided to leave for the NBA.

Another Duke star, Grayson Allen, has yet to announce what he plans to do, either enter the Draft, or return for his senior season. His decision is believed to be the least-predictable of the group.

He might be leaning on coming back.

According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, there is a "decent chance" Allen will return for another year in Durham.

That's right, the most hated player in the ACC could return for another season. Allen, who made headlines for all of the right reasons in 2015-2016, found fame during the 2016-2017 season for tripping a few of his competitors.

Allen dominated during his sophomore season, finishing with 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. Allen's junior campaign did not see the same success -- he averaged 14.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

Should Allen return for his senior season, Coach K would welcome him back with open arms. Any consistency within the Duke program is a good thing, especially in the era of one-and-done players.

Allen could use a huge 2017-2018 season to repair his draft stock which took a huge hit during his junior season.
