Tyler Summitt, Son Of Legendary Coach Pat Summitt, Resigns After Reportedly Impregnating A Player
Tyler Summitt, the son of legendary Tennessee coach Pat Summitt, resigned from his post as Louisiana Tech's women's head basketball coach today.
The 25-year-old coach cited "personal reasons" as the cause of him stepping down.
Summitt says he engaged in a "relationship that has negatively affected the people I love, respect and care about the most."

Swish Appeal, SB Nation's WNBA blog, is reporting that Summitt is resigning because he impregnated a player.
Summitt married his high school sweetheart in 2013.

Multiple sources close to the situation have informed Swish Appeal, that the person Tyler Summitt had an inappropriate relationship with is a player, and that she is pregnant. We have decided to not release the player's name.
Summitt played at Tennessee from 2010-12. He was an assistant coach at Marquette before accepting the Louisiana Tech head coaching job in 2014. Summitt had compiled a 30-31 record through two seasons as the Lady Techster's coach.
